Text4baby: What’s New to Support Maternal and Child Health? Webinar

The Maternal and Child Health Bureau is hosting a webinar to provide an updated overview of the Text4baby initiative to include the Federal perspective, introduction of new and existing modules for Text4baby and a discussion on how to integrate the Text4baby initiative within a community-based program, such as the Healthy Start programs.  A special focus will be given to the Text4baby modules focused on the Hispanic population and fathers.

Ready, Set, Go: ACA Basics and Outreach and Education Opportunities Webinar

The Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration is hosting a webinar focusing on the historic coverage expansions in January 2014 under the Affordable Care Act. The session will include a brief overview of the two major pathways to health care coverage for maternal and child populations and will look at strategies and resources for MCHB grantees to help educate families and others about the new insurance options open to them for enrollment beginning on October 1, 2013.

Genetics in Primary Care Institute’s Integrating Genetics into Your Practice Webinar Series

The Genetics in Primary Care Institute has organized a 6-part webinar series that focuses on giving primary care providers the knowledge and resources to better provide genetic medicine as part of a medical home. These hour-long, educational webinars will highlight the important skills that primary care providers already have and build upon them to provide a comprehensive approach to primary care in which genetic thinking is integrated in every patient encounter.
